Program of the Working group and fields of activitiy

The working group primarily establishes contacts and provides information for the interested map curators of Poland and the Eastern European countries. The members of the working group inform about the activities of the Liber-GdC and deal with questions and suggestions. Owing to their language skills the members can ease the contact to the curators of the above mentioned countries. One of the main fields of activity shall be to arrange for training and qualifying in appropriate institutions. The working group will cooperate closely with the working group for eduction and will help to update personal data and to compile information about literature on the subject. Programm und Aktivitäten der Arbeitsgruppe

Die Arbeitsgruppe versteht sich in erster Linie als Kontakt- und Informationsstelle für alle interessierten Kartenkuratoren Polens und der osteuropäischen Länder. Die Mitglieder der Working group informieren über die Aktivitäten der LIBER-GdC und nehmen Anregungen und Fragen entgegen. Auf Grund Ihrer Sprachkompetenz sind die Mitglieder besonders prädistiniert, die Kontakte zu den Kuratoren der o.g. Ländern zu erleichtern. Ein wichtiger Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt soll die Vermittlung von Trainingsmöglichkeiten oder anderweitiger Qualifizierungsangebote in geeigneten Einrichtungen sein. Die Working group arbeitet dabei eng mit der Working group for Education zusammen und hilft bei der Aktualisierung von Personaldaten und bei der Zusammenstellung von Informationen zu einschlägiger Literatur s.a. ® http://www.maps.ethz.ch/mapcuratorship/gdc-education2
